What to Know Before Renting a Luxury Car in Florida

Renting a luxury vehicle in Florida involves a few requirements that differ from standard car rental. Here's everything you need to have ready before you book.
Age Requirements
The minimum age to rent from Rent Exotics FL is 21 years old. Most luxury and specialty rental operators require 25 as a minimum — you'll rarely find an under-25 policy for a vehicle like the Escalade ESV.
A valid driver's license is required. International renters may need an International Driving Permit in addition to their home country license.
Insurance Requirements
This is where luxury rentals differ most from standard car rental. For a vehicle like the Escalade ESV, you need one of the following:
- Personal auto insurance that explicitly extends to rental vehicles and provides comprehensive and collision coverage (not just liability).
- Supplemental coverage purchased from us at the time of booking.
We do not accept credit card coverage alone as sufficient for luxury vehicles. Most credit card rental protection programs exclude vehicles over a certain value — always verify with your card issuer before relying on it.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of $1,500 is required at pickup. This must be placed on a credit card (not debit). The deposit is released within 3–5 business days after the vehicle is returned in the same condition.
Payment
We accept all major credit cards. The card used for the deposit must be in the renter's name and must match the ID presented.
What to Bring at Pickup / Delivery
- Valid driver's license
- Credit card in your name
- Proof of insurance (if using personal coverage)
- Signed rental agreement (sent digitally before delivery)
Florida-Specific Notes
Florida has a mandatory minimum auto liability insurance law. As a driver, you are responsible for complying with Florida insurance requirements for any vehicle you operate. Our rental agreements include this disclosure.
